Cubensis or poison or inactive?
    #3122810 - 09/11/04 05:38 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

Hey there, lovely site guys

Anywho I just shroomed hunted for the first time and found these suckers in acouple of peoples yards out in the open grass in plain sight. I have about 30 of 'em, all but 3 were found grouped together. I live in Tampa Bay, FL

Too be honest I'm not good at all at identifying seeing how I just started, and I don't want to consume anything that will kill me such as the lookalike Amanita ocreata. Can you guys help me identify these?

I saw another patch of mushrooms like these but alittle more brown in one yard but was hesistant to get them because I think the owners were home and ehhh....I don't want to get shot today.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I saw the patches drivin' home and they were only a block from my house so I figured what the hell and grabbed 'em anyway. Not really a hunt you could say eh?

Thanks though.

Poison. Those look like Chlorophyllum molybdites. They should prduce a greenish gray spore print.

Happy mushrooming!
