Honey water ?

I am tring this method out for the first time... day-3 there was a very transparent blob floating in the jar, It was shaken up; day-4 there was more of the blob, day-5 all of the agar cultures done at the same time germinate, 2 days after i noticed anything in the honey water.
what's in the honey water looks nothing like mycelium.... it looks like dirty fishpoop water or something.
Should I go ahead and innoculate a couple of jars or what?

Someone should email me a bowl.

A transparent blob on the surface does not sound good. Proper honey water should look like pieces of cotton floating in an otherwise clear medium. The mycelium can begin to grow across the surface, in which case, the growth becomes thick, white, and opaque and looks exactly like the growth on agar. I once saw a picture perfect honey water culture that begin to grow on the surface and on the surface it turned out to be pure cobweb mold. Honey water is tricky.

No, it isn't on the surface... it's like a jelly fish. It has actually become broken up and quite thick. Another honey water I did three days age looks now like Tiny little clear balls of popcorn or something- (sorry I'm just not as descriptive after bong hits.) A Jar was innoculated with the older honey water... about 36 hours ago... still nothing yet... I'm so used to agar and seeing it grown on the surface... I'm not sure what to look for when it is suspended in water.

Someone should email me a bowl.
