mushrooms in brownies?
    #3120969 - 09/11/04 01:31 AM (12 years, 4 months ago)

sorry if this sounds dumb but when i was in the states i came across candies that contained grounded up (psilocybin) mushrooms. APparently they were hauled to CT from Oregon. They were wrapped in aluminum foil and they were even made in a mold. I had 3 ghost candies and 1 pumpkin candy. Pretty powerful. Now my question is can you do this with brownies or some other type of food (chocolate candies seems kind of too too extreme.)
thanks/

what do you mean by too extreme? like to potent?

considering you have to bake brownies at 350 degrees farenheit, unless you found a way to mix in the shrooms or powder after they cooled, it won't work.

maybe if you mix the mushroom powder into some icing and then spread the icing on after they cool. i've never had brownies with icing on them though. just an idea for you..

it's quite easy actually!

you simply melt the chocolate in a double boiler type setup. basically, one of your bigger pots with a slow boil of water, then a slightly smaller pot sitting in the boiling water. inside the smaller pot goes the chocolate. and it melts kind of slow. after it's all melted, you take it off the heat and wait for it too cool enough to put your finger in and not get burned. then just stir in the mushroom powder and pour into molds if you have it.

I've ran across some really good mushroom chocolates around here. 2 grams in each one I believe, but they're 10 bucks a pop, and two gets you fryin balls.

Delicious, too. :laugh:

thanks for all the replies;

How about dosing? have you ever tried the method? what would you suggest for mushroom dust and chocolate?

So pretty much, As long as I dont add the mushrooms to anything too too hot (enough to hurt) then the potency wont be effected?

I usually take about 4g of mushrooms, My estimate these were also 2g each. I had 3 x 2g = 6g , Sure as hell felt *like* 6 grams. :smile: Here in Germany we only have mushrooms. Ive never seen candy and highly doubted it at first. These were also in the 10$ range.I was surprised to find any mushrooms in CT since most people only know what marijuana is. :smile:

gdman420: take 3 like I did, Dont take 1 :wink:

Usally around here we have choclates that sell for 25. but They are very much worth it. A local makes them the shroom is put in fresh not ground but diced up very finely. Then he does the described method with a white strip of choclate across the top. delisious and powerful.

so you eat like 30 gram + chocolate. Because fresh shrooms would need abolut 30 grams to be a solid trip going...

Sounds like a fat load of bs to me.
