Everything is Beautiful
    #3119372 - 09/10/04 04:20 PM (19 years, 6 months ago)

no, i am not tripping, but everything IS beautiful.
when a human awakens, there is a total realization of this statement.
Everything is so beautiful that i am crying right now. It touches me deep in my heart. have you ever felt like that, besides when taking psychedelics?
it seems that this is the conclusion one should have about the universe. When i die, i want my last sentence to be "everything was so beautiful".
Oh how i wish i could share this beauty with everyone in the world.
Gawd, its so beautiful that its painful, but i like it, i'm sadist perhaps. What hurts me most is the impossibility to share and express it, and maybe most of all BE it.

That's all, just a little message for yall, look around and enjoy...
life is a REAL trip.

I think that picture has some pretty deep meaning to it, which in turn is a form of beauty.

There are many different kinds of beauty... the emotion that image invokes is beautiful.

P.S. If you disagree with the above... think of a really sad depressing song. The truth is, sadness is often the most strongly "beautiful" in it's own depressing way due to the strong emotional backing often present.

No, doing harm to others is not beautiful, but what is beautiful is that there are those who will help those that have been harmed.  That is beautiful.

One of my most favorite quotes, from American Beauty:

"It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in."

I like this one, too:

"I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me... but it's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst... And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life..."

I agree. bad things are a part of this world, and yet they don't make it any less amazing, they only contribute to its divine complexity, the wonder of its composition.

It can be difficult justifying your feelings of happiness when there is so much wrong in the world today. However, if everyone was permanently concentrating on images and events such as this, their negative feelings about them would only project out to make things worse.

If everyone in the world like exclusive58, didn't wait for a cue or a reason to feel love and appreciation for this beautiful creation we are a part of, war and hate would diminish with this understanding. and images like the above would cease to exist.

everything IS beautful!

Ya, after i posted this i realized i could have posted these quotes from american beauty because that is exactly what i was trying to describe.

I'm glad to see that many of you understand that beauty can be found anywhere and IS everywhere. This makes my day!  "you may think I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one"

BTW, Jaquescousteau, great answer to SS7's post, i agree.

"...you have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry. You will someday." (or somethin' like that.. heh)

This, collectively, is one of my favorite quotes from this movie. It PERFECTLY describes the experience I've had on the comedown of several mushroom trips.
