EQ Vs Bacteria
    #3119428 - 09/10/04 04:43 PM (20 years, 4 months ago)

Somebody I know did 7 jars of rye. 3 with Taz and 4 with EQ. All of them got a bacterial contamination somehow and all of them died except one jar of EQ which seems to be putting up a big fight and is still colonizing, about %75 so far.

Anyone want to take bets on who wins?

That happened in one of my jars, although I'm not sure what strain it is. There was a little bacteria colony, and the myc totally beat the shit out of it .
It was like a fight between a jedi master and a child with no legs, the contam had no chance :tongue2:.

Eq is about 85% done now. 3 other EQ jars that I thought were dead are still showing progress. Truly an amazing organsim.

I would be very careful with bacterial contamination. Mostly, it depends on the size of the contaminant, but my advice in this kind of situations is to toss the whole thing ...
Any pics ?
