my pf cake has just starting colizing i put a heating pad on the bottom of the jar but it looks like alittle black spot should i be worried this is the 2nd week 4 the cake

that could be contamination....watch it and see what happens...a general rule is that if the jar has any color accept white or pale yellow in some cases the jar is contaminated.

Your suposed to have the heating pad on top so it doesn't dry out your cakes. It's almost better to leave at room temp then to use a heating pad. It also helps to put as much info as you can about where you got the spores, where you using mask, gloves? Did you alky the tip after each hole? The black spot doesn't sound good. You might want to reck your steps if it is contams. Also post a pic, it really helps speed up the learning process. Good luck Brother/sista, peace...

you know what now that i look cloer it looks like a air spot its rite next to the myc groth so when the myc gorws into the "black spot" will the myc turn black or something

if it turns white it wasn't black mold..at least i've never seen myc eat black mold..
hard to really say without a pic
