My plan.. 1st time :)

A friend of mine was thinking of a plan the first time he was going to grow shitake's- and two other strains. He is awaiting three syringes @ 10cc's each. He is trying to utilize his time the best as possible while the spores are en route. He's going to prepare 36 half pints and let them sit for a few days to see if they are contaminated. If so, he'll refill the jars and re-steralize, if not- the second he gets the syringes, he'll shoot the jars. So thats 12 jars of each strain. lose a few to contams. 12 jars of mixed strains will be allocated to the Hippie Invitro Tek and not removed from the jar environment. He understands that these jars need to be seperate from the other 24 because they need light throughout their life. 12 jars of mixed strains will be dedicated to an indoor terrarium (tupperware/saran wrap/perlite), and the remaining 12 will be cased in an outdoor Ryche Hawk terrarium (tupperware/50-50 casing tek/perlite). Does my plan sound fail proof assuming he can successfully inoculate/colonize jars. How long do think until first crop? Any suggestions? hes done his reading and he thinks this is a decent plan. Thanks in Advance

It sounds like you're taking a chance in using all three syringes at once on your first grow. It may take a couple trials to figure out the right moisture content.

You might be better off to work through the various tek one at a time until you find the right one for you. It's not that hard and it's not necessary to spread your risk by trying several simultaneous teks. You're making more work for yourself.
