Hi Mobietaas,

You need to describe the mushroom better and if possible post a clear photo. Look here procedures for requesting a mushroom ID.

the gills are a light grey almost white.

it's about 3 inches tall and the cap is about 1 to 1 1/2 inches which is also white
Stem is smooth and thin not hollow feels moist freshly picked
can't really tell the color of the spores looks to be light grey/black i put on a white paper and they look grey

It is hard to tell from that picture and im far from an expert but to my knowledge if it were a cube the cap should not be white. Also, the sporeprint should be chocolate brown- purple, not gray.

Panaeolus Antillarum. Print should be black. Not active, not worth eating.

Ok, this tells us you have a mixed collection. The mushroom on your photos clearly shows dark gills. So either you've gone back to the field and got a very young specimen, or you went back to get a different species. Could you show us a pic of the mushroom you got when you returned to the field?
