Concerning Preservation Technique

I think I may have hit upon a good idea for preserving mushrooms over long periods of time. This in in the absence of having a proper vacuum packing capability. After the shrooms are dry, I wrap them tightly in quantities of an 1/8 oz. Then put them in an empty wine bottle that is wrapped in duct so that no light may get into it. Then I use a device that is used to suck all of the air out of a wine bottle (it is used so that an open bottle of wine may be stored for more than a day or two and not go bad.) The bottle is then left in the freezer.
What do y'all think? Is it a workable solution? or are there better ways to go about this?

Sounds good. No light, no air. Nice. If you ground the shrooms into powder you can probably fit a lot more in a smaller space. It doesn't affect potency. You could also jam them in those photo canisters... the little black ones film comes in. That's if you run out of wine bottles. Then put those in a canning jar and put that in the freezer. Just make sure your containers are dry and if you want, add some dessicant to keep the moisture down.

Sounds like a good way to get a distribution charge added onto whatever else you would get.

that's what i was about to say. i wouldn't divide them up into doses. put the wins bottle in a cardboard tube or something if you wish, but covering in duct tape seems a lil odd. I'd think it's a shrapnel bomb or something of i saw it.

Yes in the USA individual baggies in multiplicity would allow for them to add intent to distribute, regardless if that was your intent or not. But if you are in a place somehow immune to oppression of psilocybin (or have some degree of absolute confidence you can not be caught and there will be no possibility of a legal search of your premises/freezer) then this is pretty nifty.
