Concerning Casing
    #3114053 - 09/09/04 04:12 PM (13 years, 17 days ago)

I want to move on to experimenting with casing now. I wanted to wait until I made sure that I could successfully use the PF Tek, and I think I have got it pretty well down. I can get a cake to be fully colonized in just a little bit over two weeks. After a LOT of experimenting and trial and error, I am able to get my 30 gallon aquarium to remain between 74 and 78 degrees, right up at 100 percent humidity. And things seem to be going along real smooth.

In the past I have looked for a complete tek on casing, but can't seem to find anything to quite fit the bill. There seems to be bits and pieces of different teks in lots of places. Does anyone have a link to a fairly complete teck for casing that I could appeal to in order to get a good start? Thanks.

Shoney

Do the 50/50 in the cultivation section or check out magash's rye tek and steal his casing idea of 2 parts coco coir and 1 part verm. Or, if you want you could just use straight verm. All of these are in the casing section.

Everything I say on this board is a lie.

Eat more string cheese. It's good for you.

Right on! Thanks mate. You guys are just the greatest. I mean, even an obsessive compulsive bi-polar maniac who tends far more to the mania than the down-times doesn't feel like he waited any time at all for really good information. Thanks again to all!!!
