Everyday objects that can be used as weapons.
    #3113058 - 09/09/04 10:53 AM (19 years, 6 months ago)

Sometimes a fight comes when you least expect it. What could you grab to defend yourself? If the attacker just busted into my room I'd grab a bottle of beer. This would make a good club, full or not. If it wasn't handy I'd try throwing anything that weighed a few pounds, even if it was just to buy a few seconds of time. Throwing a cat has it's possibilities... and if you can grab a cat by it's scruff it will be limp and compliant untill you throw it and then it we be pissed off/try to hold on to anything that could break it's fall. A stapler folded out and held could make for a nice impromtu nunchaku with the bonus of leaving staples behind in the skin.

In public it's a different story. Anything from a chair to bottled chemicals to shopping carts. Whatever is in the direct vacinity has potential... but lets not forget that sometimes fisticuffs are suitable.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

Sometimes violence is the only option, not because you are a violent person but because someone else left you with no alternatives. If a crack head or a rapist was going someone I loved I would do anything I could to stop them. Thats because sometimes there are issues that are unresolvable by meer words; in those times it's of extreme importance to know all your options.

I wear shoes with steel toes for personal safety reasons, they could come in handy. Taking my belt off and using it as a metal tipped whip is another option.

Wow, these shoes are killer, the only disadvantage is that they look somehow strange. In fact anything is a weapon if you use it right(or wrong). I used to have a pepper spray with me, but I don't use it anymore(It's useful agaist dogs).

Not personally a violent person myself, but I agree in the defending yourself thing, or if a friend needed help. Car keys are useful in self defense.

As a girl, we all know that high heels are lethal

Anything can be used as a weapon. I once hurt myself with a sharp rose stem.

What if the person in question is a psychotically twisted rapist obsessed with you?

In the situation where he was breaking into your house, would you give him a hug?

I'm sorry, but self defence is neccessary, even for women (who can become random targets of sexual assault, muggings and the same things as men at a differant proportion).  Please at lease learn to defend yourself.

Hmm, if someone busted into my room shouting gibberish and holding a bible...

Well I have a pair of scissors right infront of me... and a fork over to my left. There's a 3-hole-puncher that weighs about 8 lbs (metal).

But yeah, all you women out there. If some guy is jumping you, just grind/scrape you heel along his shin. THAT SHIT FUCKIN HURTS

twizzlers.

yes, I said it.

twizzlers.

and I don't mean those whimpy ass peel twizzlers, I mean the old school licorice. When used as a whip they can produce quite a welp and a horrid stinging sensation... but most of all it shocks the person being hit with it more than anything because they're like "WTF? did I just get whipped by a twizzler?" and while they're standing there in disbeliefe your ninja chop them in the head

If someone came into my room, then they?d be in for a surprise. Here?s a glimpse into what I have in my room that can be used for weaponry:

The fantasy art knives are the ones that I have in display. Most of the rest are in a drawer of knives. Plus, I keep two leathermans attached to my belt, in addition to a clip knife, which would come in handy.

Plus, I have quite a few stone-gargoyle dragons with alot of jagged edges and such, which would be quite a deadly weapon.

As for public locations... depends. Outdoors; rocks, bricks, sticks, etc. Indoors; chairs, office supplies, babies, etc.

I"d just reach over to the night table and grab the weapon. I believe it's a .45
