cleveland public library & cuyahoga county library have books by leary, mckenna, weil, huston smith, pendel & several others (but no shulgin or ott...)
also seaching library comp (subject = hallucinogenic drugs) will give quite a list of books available for borrowing - may need to be ordered from another branch...
also college libraries may have books by hoffman, schultes, etc...
& even if your library doesn't have the book available, sometimes (if you know exactly what you want) they will order for you from interlibrary loan service...
(but i never managed to borrow a copy of the music book _songs by david crosby_ )
ymmv

I live in a big city and there is even a 3 story business library. You could probably phone a librarian at one of the big city libraries and ask them if they carry it.

ask your local librarian about "inter-library loan service" (it could be free, or they may ask for like postage of a small fee, i dunno...)

www.half.com has great deals on used books. Usually they cost $3.50 or less for used copies. Also, it works with your ebay account. Thats the only place i buy book from now.

2001.  Why did you post this on a thread from 2001?

If OP has been unable to find a well published book for 7 years, they've probably given up by now.
