i remember walking with a friend in dallas tx through some apartments and saw some mushrooms that looked exactly like cubes except when i picked them they bruised red any idea on what it is?

It is probably an Agaricus or a Lepiota. Some species' from these genera bruise red and could be mistaken for a P. cubensis by someone unfamiliar with identification criteria for mushrooms.

well this was a one time find... looked almost exactly like the "one" fresh specimen on psilocybe i've seen in real life... as for spores color cant remeber....meaty well built mushroom... shit all i can say is the cap looked exaclty of pictures i've seen and the one specimen
