Heya I live in Canada and I am currently studying Mycology in University. I am not really a drug user, but i've had tried them. Anywayz I am a very interested person in Mushrooms, and I've collected, dried, spore printed the crap out of a lot of mushrooms for my Study. I am on my last year of univ, and i've chosen the topic "The Magic Mushroom" as my final project. Anywayz is it possible that I can find any kind of "Magic Mushrooms" in Ontario Canada? I usually frequent Southwestern, and northern Ontario for mushrooms. Although i'd like to know if "LIberty Caps" grow here? They like the moist, colder northern climate, and it is fall now. Is it possible to find any at all? Maybe after a nice good rain?
Liberty caps are pretty well distributed throughout northern temperate zones. Check along the edges of pastures for libertys, and in low spots in the darker, longer, wet tufts of grass. Make sure you know what your looking for, and no, they dont grow in cow poo, just around it.
Liberty caps fruit in your "fall" time of yr. Look for gymnopilus species on fallen hardwood throughout summer fall too. Bet you'd locate conocybe smithii searching summer time too. Ps- transplant woodlovers and you have your own mini patches to photo plus tend too.
