This morning I found a patch of about 50 with some of the biggest healthiest weilii ive ever seen. I wish I had a digital camera to share these with you guys.

Went hunting today with LizardKing. We found about... 7 or 8 of his new active species....
....and... around 5lbs of weilii. My guess was probably about 400-500 mushrooms. I kept about 150 of them, wet weight is probably around 1 or 2 lbs.
Yes, I actually do have pictures for proof, and LK should post pictures as well. I won't be able to post my pictures untill Sunday night unless I get a usb cable. I left mine at school.
We found them by walking on foot through a neighborhood that we knew produced weiliis. One thing that I noticed, they like yards that are at the bottom of hills... Really like them. We found one cul-de-sac that had probably 40-50 mushrooms in it. Look in areas that are low lying, areas likly to be very wet. They also like nice, well manicured lawns, but we did find a few loaners on the shitty lawns.
Pics to come on Sunday!

awsesome dude, I myself found about 25 caps today in a NEW location over in the dunwoody area... they like the low lying areas cause the spores flow with water and land in the yards I guess... Grats on the find I wanna see some pics, I will try to borrow TSH camera to post these ... Weilii are NOT are NOT as rare as I had previously thought...
also, they take up shape from conical almost like a torpedo, to some that the cap is like a bowl facing UP... from almost white, to dark dark brown... they really do take up many forms, but these are all bruising and have the smell so I know they are them.

also, what am I( or anyone else who finds a bunch) supposed to do with them all!? I hardly trip often, so I am wondering how long they will keep in an air tight container and how soon I need to give most of them away before they go 'bad'
also, make SURE to post a pic of the new species, if they resemble weilii I might have 1 : )

if you have smelt fresh cubensis, it is VERY similar, but much stronger, slightly of a different type...

The smell is really hard to describe... It's sweet, almost reminiscent of anise/liquorice.
As far as habitat pics goes, do a search and you should find some. If you don't, picture your average lawn in your average newer neighborhood in the Atlanta and there you have your habitat picture.

am I the only one who thinks they resemble the smell of cubes?
( then again weilii and cubes are the only active mushrooms I have ever smelt, so maybe they ALL have that similar odor)

They smell like a mushroom should smell to me, nothing really out of the ordinary. I've smelled atleast 5 different species with that same odor around here.

Ive only smelled cubes and weiliis and I think that all mushrooms have that earthy kinda smell but weiliis also got like something extra in their. Reminds me of the green shell on a watermelon, might just be me.

weilii are weird, they will draw you to them if your karmic vibrations are right... be open and go where you are guided... it was a 'freak chance' that TSH picked the neighborhood, and I happened to be on the side of the street we found them, AND that I just happened to wander pretty deep into someones yard before seeing them....
Yep, 2e knows what I'm talking about. People were saying id went overboard when I said you find more based on karma. Ask shroomindawg, I walked about a half a mile alone, away from him and 3 other guys, in a direction you never would of thought to go in, and found an AMAZING patch, almost like fate. That night I also had a very spiritual revelation, but that is not for this section of the forum. Weilii are not just a fungus, sure they look like one and taste like one, well alright they are a fungus. However, they are meant to awaken people who are ready to be awoken, and cleanse people who enter with ignorance or an unpure heart with fire. Your trip is 100% based on your karma, that is what will determine how great or how terrible your experience will be. Don't believe in karma? Hit a high level 4 on weilii or any other psychoactive mushroom and you'll see first hand how karma is an undeniable law.

AMEN!!! Brother!!!! He is not lieing at all. See you can use mushies for just pure fun ( no shame in that at all) but if you let yourself go and become one with the trip (ok i know i sound corny but those of you know what i'm talking about) Mushies will take you to places you have never even dreamed about. I've always looked at shrooms as being the key to unlock another reality... a key that can open many diffrent doors... what door it opens is up to you.
