humidity/temp question
    #3105161 - 09/07/04 09:11 PM (13 years, 20 days ago)

My setup involves a plastic terrarium about 1.5 - 2 feet long and a foot wide. I have one casing inside in its individual container. Before pinning, the casing was covered so it didnt need external humidification. My plan for humidity was to fill a flower vase type container with water, use an aquarium heater and a fish tank bubbler. The humidity is fine but i cant think of a way to keep the temp down. It hangs around 78 and the heater is all the way down. If i dont use the heater, the bubbler wont produce enough humidity, will it?

Place bubble walls in fruiting chamber and connect air pump hoses.Fill the fruiting chamber up with 1.5" water and 3.5" perlite or geolite.Place cakes/casings in and close the lid.Make 2 small holes 1/2" in the lide for air exchange.Good luck. You don't need a heater to keep the humidity up.The air being pushed around in the water and perlite creates some humidity and the perlites wicking action creates humidity.
