This takes the cake
    #3101208 - 09/07/04 12:18 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

I've seen some pretty vile stuff posted here by the Lefties (and, to be fair, some pretty vile racist crap from some who purport to be Righties as well).

But nothing -- I repeat, nothing, including Rall's previous bottom-feeding efforts -- even comes close to this. A new standard has been set in the race to the bottom. I sincerely hope that no one ever tops (or more accurately, bottoms) this piece of filth.

Warning: by clicking on the link I provide below you acknowledge that you believe you have the intestinal fortitude not to be nauseated by the depravity of Leftie "cartoonists". My suggestion is to stand far away from your keyboard and other sensitive equipment so as not to damage it when you puke.

Don't say you weren't warned.

Even aside from the very poor taste, er..

that's not funny. Seriously, at all. No comedy, just some poorly-defined agenda and not a lack of tact, but some sort of.. anti-tact, that if it ever met a shred of decency would surely explode.

Ted Rall has long been a festering pustule on the rectum of the human species, but he has out-Ralled himself with this one. I honestly can't imagine him ever creating anything more disgustingly offensive than this. He might as well retire at the top (more accurately, bottom) of his game. Nothing more pathetic than someone hanging on too long in the hopes of recapturing past "glory".

you're pissed at tillman for disrespecting the deaths
of the innocents on 9/11 by mocking the republican's
disrespectful politization of the deaths of the innocents
on 9/11?

news flash people, tillman is a liberal, an unabashed,
unashamed liberal and bush detractor!

if you don't like the slant or the type of humor, save
yourselves the heartache and don't indulge in his
cartoons.

tissue anyone?

You're confused. Rall is the cartoonist, not Tillman. Tillman was the football star killed in Afghanistan who was the subject of Rall's previous low point. I had thought that nothing could be more depraved and vicious than Rall's infamous Tillman cartoon.

I was wrong.

Honestly, while distasteful, and like mushmonkey said, not funny, I think this cartoon was trying to suggest that the most, if not ALL the speakers hid behind 9/11 while avoiding the true issues that face the nation today. 9/11 happened 3 years ago, let it die with the people inside the towers..........

I don't know any of his other stuff, but this cartoon in particular wasn't funny, and I mean I don't care if you use controversal subjects to get your humor across, in fact, sometimes I think it makes it funnier.

I typically enjoy extremly controversal satire; it forces people to look at something from a direction they might normally not think about. I only read the few examples posted above, but found little of value in any of them.

Did you see the republican convention? The main podium resembling a crucifix. Also, the whole 9/11 theme was a lot more disgusting than this cartoon making a parody of it. They are trying to strong-arm the voters by having the audacity to suggest that those who support the republican party are picking the only side( I know they don't come out and say it) that is pro september 11th victims. Why have something that redundant as part of your platform? They must think the democrats feel differently.

Good cartoon

No. I've always had a rather sick sense of humor. I have yet to see a joke/cartoon/etc. that offended me.

Perhaps, until the last frame, which was very lame.

It sounds to me like you don't support our troops!  :mad2: :mad2:

and to pinky and other righties who are offended: you guys are a bunch of fucking hypocrites when you say that lefties who are offended by conservative humor are weak-stomached hippies.

The point of the cartoon seems to be right on, that the Republicans are using 9/11 for their political gain. It wasn't funny, but it doesn't bother me.

--------------------
To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

No, the Tillman cartoon is still his low point. Pinky, Bush has done NOTHING but use the 9-11 victims ever since the tragedy.

He used them to take us to Iraq and now he?s using them for his re-election campain. That?s offensive. That?s beyond offensive.
