Pics from a hunt, Nature-aly!
    #3100555 - 09/06/04 09:59 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Hey all!  Hope hunting has been plentiful!  Rain has been missing till now(its raining!!).  Went to Northern Mich. yesterday and found so many mushrooms I couldn't get photos of all of them I saw.  Lots of different ones that I haven't seen by me before too.  I didn't take any prints or pick any so really the photos are all I have.  Feel free to throw ID-eas on what ya may think they can be.  I am pretty sure the Amanitas are Formosas but I don't know the others. I just put them up for peeps to enjoy!  Happy Hunting!

Well, thats my limit for today.  I'll be going back up in a week or so and may have some better ones.

Yeah, the formosas are a common find for me. I must have found at least 40 of them and I didn't even check everywhere I wanted to! I love that yellow!

I dunno man, I've never seen formosas that are lemon yellow. That's kinda odd. Might not be A. muscaria.

Gumby, I have to agree with you. Those in the pics don't have the orange red center. I find the bright yellow like that and the orangeishreddish ones. I don't eat em so doesn't really matter to me but I love the way they like to get their pics taken!

Although the color is unusual, the multiple ringed volva looks right. Amanita muscaria even has a variety alba (which is white), so these very well could be.

Certainly they are interesting specimens and great photos.

Happy mushrooming!
