 Mushroom Hangover?

Last nite i had the most amazing journey of self discovery.The best trip i ever have had.But when i woke up this morning,i had the worst headache ever! and i felt like vomiting, although i didnt. why does it feel like i have a hangover?
btw.Walking through a cornfield at nite is the trippyest thing ever. Also, try watching The Wizard Of Oz as the peak is coming on!

I've had next-day hangover-ish symptoms, but nothing as bad as a "real" hangover.
It can be easy to forget about eating and drinking when you're tripping.... probably has something to do with leaving poison in your system so long without flushing it with water or giving it some food to break down. I'm just making this up as I go though, it makes sense in my head, but I have no real facts to back it up

Turd..you sound about right..what i was thinking that i was just really dehyrated from not drinking any water.
psilocybin/psilocin is a poison, thats what makes you trip, but its not like a bad poison that will kill you and cause liver failure and you will die.

if its not some kind of poison, then why do I get an upset stomach? Why does the body try to reject it?
As I said, I basically just made that up.... not trying in any way to say I'm right, because I'm probably not. But I've gotten mushroom hangovers, and the upset stomach, both of which I've known to be symptoms caused by putting something in your body that your body does not like.
Is my logic flawed?

From the FAQ...."As a good psychedelic should, psilocybin, psilocin and psilocybian mushrooms have low toxicity -- in tests with mice, doses up to 200 mg of psilocybin/kg of body (in average human terms (65 kg) 13 grams) have been injected intravenously without lethal effects. The ED50 : LD50 ratio is 641 according to the NIOSH Registry of Toxic Effects; compare this with 9637 for vitamin A, 4816 for LSD, 199 for aspirin and 21 for nicotine. Poisoning, at least physically, is thus not a problem."

Also from the FAQ...It pays to actualy try searching.....Many people experience nausea and/or vomiting during mushroom experiences, especially with higher doses. This is largely due to the somewhat indigestible nature of the fungus coupled with the mental reaction to the active ingredients. Generally the nausea is mild and passes shortly into the experience. Other possible negative effects include anxiety and unwanted or frightening thoughts and visions. Mushrooms, though perhaps to a lesser degree than LSD, can precipitate strong, temporary changes in an individual's experience of life and reality. It can be a powerful psychoactive experience, especially at higher doses, which is significantly affected by experiences, set and setting. Recent experiences, especially strong ones, can have a substantial effect on a trip. Physically or psychologically unsettling events in the days before a Mushroom trip can blossom into more serious distress and trauma while tripping. It is important to be prepared for the possibility of encountering difficult or frightening mental states. When I eat shrooms I have a hang over everytime. Just most times it isn't very bad.
If I eat them say 2 out of 3 days my hangover will last 2 days.
It really upsets shroomer's to say it's a poison, but in reality it is. That is why you feel like puking and end up with a hangover. The mind wants it but body doesn't want it. The real question should be ,what is the deffinition of a poison???? If it kills you ?? or if it makes your body feel sick???

Anybody who says they don't have somtype of hangover from eating shrooms is ether a liar or they are stoned, on one thing or another, 24 hours a day and have totaly lost touch with what it feels like to be sober.

There have been times where I got sick from rotted (I didn't know) shrooms that were black and I got REALLY sick withintestinal cramps and gas and the whole shit thing. A few times I woke up feeling like shit.
Most of the time I wake feeling like a million bucks, just tired or hallucinating slightly into the evening.

Only once have I ever felt sick to my stomach and headachy the day after shrooming.
For the most part I just feel tired and out of it for about a day or so.

I get a hang over for sure from shrooming but it is never negative. I feel an afterglow from my experiences the night before, slight tripping feeling and a general sense of well being.
Psilocybin doesn't really fit the dictionarys definitino of a poison either if you ask me.

I often just feel completely drained mentally the next day. My brain is "fried" it feels like, and I grunt when i want something because i can barely make sentances
