Simple logic shows Kerry winning
    #3094099 - 09/05/04 04:20 AM (19 years, 6 months ago)

Think about it.

In the 2000 elections bush LOST the popular vote by 500,000. He certainly hasn't changed a lot of minds during his presidency and he has imspired many people who have never voted or don't vote to VOTE AGAINST HIM.

The polls that people keep citing that show bush and kerry neck and neck are stupid.

Does anyone see something here they don't agree with?

lets see where to begin:
1-bush HAS mobilized some new voters
2-large part of the electorate do not just vote by party
3-the polls apparently are in fact not showing them neck and neck, but kerry losing by a significant margin unfortunately

1. really? who?

2. the electorate votes according to constituents...

3. that's why I say don't trust the polls.

i think the gop has put kerry in a box that he cannot get out of before the election. they have made it impossible for him to win. and going on camera right after the acceptance speach was petty and and desperate. he has been exposed for what they want you to think he is. he should have run on more than "EYEEEEE served in vietnam. i gotta tell you i dont fucking care a shit who served where. thats just not my issue. for most it is not. yet he kept pushing it. so he was called on it and he has no answers the gop exploited it and we have a winner.

It's the electoral vote which counts.

You know.... the same method this country has used for over 225 years.

yeah I know that, but I also know that there is an illusion that the people's votes count for something, and if someone can come away with a minority of the people's votes, and still win, it's exposing that illusion for what it really is... and in this day in age, when we have the popular vote counted in the same amount of time(usually) as the electoral vote, why do we need the electoral vote anyways?

As has been said many times, to keep the major population centers from forever deciding who our pres is.

So a dozen states from 50 should always get to pick the pres? News flash bucko.... the US is a republic, set up deliberately so ALL the states could have a say.

Methinks you should do a bit of reading on the subject before making yourself appear silly.

I'm wondering if Kerry wins electorally, but not majority, if the liberal whackfucks on this board will protest how he "stole" it. I'm actually hoping that that happens so that I can revel in the funniness of it while the libbies that accused BUSH of stealing theelection have to deal with the same legitimate, legal action when their fuckwad wins the election.

I doubt Kerry will win by population or electorate.
He's really taken a beating the last few weeks and I'm sure Karl Rove has many tricks still up his sleeve.
Not much time for Kerry to turn the tables.

If the things I say in my original post are true, then Kerry will win in a minor landslide. That has been my prediction, regardless of what is going on in the media.
