Problem
    #3096231 - 09/05/04 10:10 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Wondering,
If some moisture made it into my Pf Jars while boiling in soup pot, is it done meaning do it all over again, or can i go on with inoculation? some spots in the cakes seem to be pretty damp. if you ask me i think i should do er' all over again... Just want to make sure.

Thanks guys... sorry if this is a waist of characters

Some moisture is prolly OK. If you noticed saturation anywhere, that area and most likely anything near it won't colonize and may spawn contams.

Unless you have water all the way across the bottom of the jar you will be fine.

if you turn them upside down it will help as the moisture will not pool at the bottom.... But if you havent innoc'd them yet follow costanza's advice.

As long as you don't turn your jars into mush and separate the verm and flour by settlement of the denser ingrediant on the bottom, you are in the clear. Try putting foil on top of the jars.

If I ever did this shit, I would never tape my holes, but have a foil lid on always.
