outdoor fruiting

i have 2 casings im thinking of putting outside temps are low 90's - low 70's i can keep the humidity but will this be a decent way to grow them? trying to fruit inside doesn't work that well it doesn't seem temps seem to stay in the 80's inside..

im saying with those temps could i put the aquarims outside? and succesfully get fruits?

Why put the aquarium outside???

I am sure your house can get low enough, if you are in cold room perfect, if its a warm room, dont heat the chamber :wink:

Cubies will fruit even when its quite cold out(outsides), but just taking a casing from the incubator and putting it in a unheated fruiting chamber is usually more then enough of a tempature shift to cause pinning.

Personally I think the aquarium being outside would be pointless, and messy.......but when My Grandma had a bulk rubbermaid style tub of poo that contamed , she just put a T-shirt over top, and stuck it under a bush, and when it rained she put it under the porch :wink:

Outside is easy, but if all you are doing is a small grain casing, do it indoors. (IMO)

WELL IM JUST TIRED OF WAITING I MIGHT HAVE STALLED IT WITH A COLD SHOCK BUT HEY ITS MY FIRST TIME :p LOOKS LIKE KNOTS R FORMING BUT I DONT SEE ANY PINS

How long have you been trying to fruit? I woul give t a few more days of 12+hrs of light and fanning 3-4 times a day.

i know its been about 10 days give or take a day fanning alot more often than that... i have it by the window is this good enough?

Dont let direct sunlight hit it :wink:

And some casing can take longer then 14 days, my first casing EVER was lipa and it took 9 days to pin(a fairly quicl pinner)

So , relax, and keep fanning, and if you really do see knots, then pins are just around the corner.

i've seen big knots on one casing they've grown but 3 days still no pins...Ecuadorian strain very strong rhizomorphic growth...but possibly stalled

w00t first pins although they r on the side and bottom they still r pins which is a good thing :P
