Anyone seen this red, syrup ooze?

i don't know if this is a contam or not. it doesn't spread. i had growth on my casing that came up lightning quick. it was thick and looked like sclerotia. i left it, and it started getting pin holes, then this stuff came out. i pulled it out of the terarium, covered it with syran wrap and let it sit on the microwave for 3 weeks, forgetting about it. i looked at it a few days ago and there's shrooms coming up and the contam has dried/withered/mostly gone away. i don't know if it's really a contam or not. nothing in The Mushroom Cultivator sounds like this. i heard someone say sclerotia will sometimes ooze stuff as a protective agent. and it doesn't behave like a normal contamination, it doesn't spread to other casings, and it doesn't even spread in it's own casing. it came in one spot and stayed there. the shrooms look healthy and normal. i'd kinda like to know what this shit is.

I get ooze on sclerotia from tampanensis and mexicana. Yours are P. cubensis. Definetly looks similar, the ooze. But sclerotia don't dissapear, sometimes they will turn into mushrooms and shrink in size. Weird stuff you got there, almost look like two different casings. Some contaminants will ooze, like wet bubble, but it acts to spread, asexually, the contaminant. Your shrooms look healthy. Where did the hardened growth go. Is there something left over after it shrivelled up? Definetly weird. Were you incubating at really high temperatures.
