Question abot using salt

I seen this on a couple differnt sites about srinkling salt on your cake/casing after treating a contam.

Does anyone know anything about this and could give me some more information about it.

h202, salt....non of it actually kills mold imo....but salt is good for keeping it dormant long enough to get your flush....but you will probably have to apply it everyday

I used to use baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) after cutting out the part of the casing which was contaminated, it changes the pH level so its less hospitable for contams. It worked quite well.

Back in the day I read about salt (there was not much info about it) and sprinkled it all over a cake that had some green.

Man did that mycelium burn! The salt just ate holes into the mycelium. Not to mention the large amount of blueing that was in effect.

The salt desiccates the cells of contams thus killing them. It will also kill your myc so you do want to be careful about over doing it.
