culltivation setup Q's
    #3093027 - 09/04/04 11:23 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

ok

my idea is to have 2 70 quart storage containers each with 12 3.75"
holes for net pots.  I am going to have 5" of water/nutriant solution
in the bottom of each with a  Exo Terra Fogger in each(so it will be aeroponic system).  I will have a 400 watt hps (this is in a small closet, aprox.7'x2'x8').  ventilation?  well i'll figure out something
but what i'm most concerned about where to get good seeds any sugestions?  and how does the rest sound?

thanks for your feedback

peace-

ganjaland.com
emoryseeds.com offers a wide variety of distributors
Just make sure you have that on a timer. Dont want the roots to rot. Do some research on aeroponics and hydroponics, very delicate system. Probably should cover the open area around the top of the pot with the water in it. You will loose water quickly and excess humidity could condense on the leaves. Definenintly ventilation. Fan blowing in on small shoot, until it wiggles slightly, will strenghten the stem and cause the stem to widen and elongate. This will help to support your crop better. Good Luck.
They have books on this stuff at Borders and Barnes and Nobles.

I OWN LIKE 20 OF THOES BOOKS BUT THE PROBLEM IS IS THAT THERES NO INFO ON AEROPONICS, IF YOU COULD POINT ME TO SOME RESEARCH ON IT THAT'D BE NICE.

I WILL HAVE SOME FORM A VENT AND A FAN ON THE PLANT IT SELF FOR THAT REASON AND TO HELP KEEP THE PORES OF THE PLANT CLEAN. ARE YOU SURE THE ROOTS WOULD ROT?
THERE WONT BE MUCH WATER LOSS BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A LID ON IT.

THANKS FOR THE SITES.

def going to need good vent... essential if harvesting any kind of weight. run a 265 dayton pulling through a carbon filter, with passive intake near the bottom of the closet... 400 is a decent sized light you should pull of 6 oz your first time, if you do everything you should. checkout overgrow.com
they have everything you need over there as far as info. just check it out.

Here is one site. Aeroponics is one way of growing hydroponically. You might find a better method.

I highly recommend Dutch Passion or Serious Seeds (seed vendors not shops) seeds, worldwideseeds.com is a good one

and OG has plenty info on what you are looking for (if you cant find it in the faq search the threads made, just like here), and not even shroomery let you post without registring to be a member. overgrow is the second best cultivation site on the net IMO , only shroomery is better

LOL i kow that how too hydroponics guy, I was going to work for him (future garden) he even gave me a free PDF version of the book :P . Hees based near me, I dont care much for the book overgrow FAQ's and the forums are a much better source for DIY growers.

Its all a gimic to sell his products and he even told me he made it to direct them to his products. I just buy my coir there since its mad cheap in bulk. http://futuregarden.com/

Look up areospring on overgrow, just drill 1/4" holes pointing at teh walls between net pots. The splashing off the wall makes for tons of water flyinga round.

and Gr0wer, i don't evan know why the fuck you posted on this thread.

Mystiq_Shaman:thanks for the seed vendors evan though i knew them already: none of this negitive energy is toward you.
