I would spend it on a down payment on an investment property and gain a 30 to 40% return per annum.

I might be able to stay under $2000 with the stuff I already posted, so I could spend the other $3000 on some home recording stuff, maybe a couple hundred on computer stuff ... and just keep the rest handy.

in reality I would probably buy a cheaper bass.. one that wasn't $3400.. and use the money to put my band in the studio..

Seems like most bass equipment is more expensive than guitar stuff.
Probably a slightly smaller market, and less competition maybe.
I tell ya, 4x10 speakers are fuckin sexy!!!

If i just magically got 5k I'd probably just bank it and use it for school and stuff. If I had to splurge I'd probably just build an ultimate computer. Or maybe just get some fucking nice clothes.

ah no it got fried and smashed a bit.. dunno if its fixable yet
nah the cabinet is separate of the head.. it's one of these - http://www.rockinn.co.jp/shopping/amp/hartke_image/hartke_45xl.jpg still works perfect, just need a new head.. soon hopefully

Hmmmm... well, $5000 isn't enough for a new 150 horse
outboard motor, (they're $10,000) soooo... I'll live with my old one, still runs good.
I guess I'd blow it on a 54" Toshiba HDTV and surround sound system and a half pound of sweet nugs.
