Hello, today, after my mountain biking ride, i decided to go and look for some of my favorite agaricus species. As they usualy grow at the end of september i didn't expect to find them, but it realy suprised me when i found theese monsters in my favorite field ... They are realy huge ! I don't know exactly what specie it is, maybe someone else ?

Click on the pic

The monster  One of the largest agaricus species that i ever found ...
It was so tasty, i used the whole shroom to prepare a wery tasty meal with eggs

With this report i also have a question, if theese shrooms started to grow earlyer than usual, is it posible that some active shroms start poping up soon too ?

I found a shroom that big and I had a spore print givaway.

Mine was yellow fly agaric and the stem was alot thinner.

You shouldn't eat it if you don't know what exactly it is though.

Do they have a distinctive odor?

Cut one in half vertically, then scrape the inside of the stem with your knife edge hard enough to bruise the tissue. Let us know what color it bruises (if any). Bruising can take up to an hour to occur.

They look like either Agaricus arvensis or Agaricus osecanus at first glance and from your description so far.

Happy mushrooming!
