Dead Myc.???

Ok so a foaf made an incubator adusted the temp or so he thought the booklet said a certain mark was 76degrees... he started it their checked it later, it was around 90ish so he reduced the temp or so he thought later checked it it was around 120... he quickly pulled the jars away from the incubator, and messed with the temp.. now its likely that the jars got too hot... maybe even killed the myc. but the question is... will the inside myc.take over the dead if their is any. like the parts that may have not died becuase the internal temp didnt reach 106?

Usually the inside of the cakes are hotter then the outside... but yeah, if it died the new would just colonize over just like it does with verm I'd imagine.

Well I have done that once. And out of 24 jars only 2 made it. Sorry but you may have killed them . It depends on how much heat made it into the center of the jar. But if you incoluated down the sides of jar you are probley in bad shape.
