Pistol Whipping?
    #3090562 - 09/04/04 10:04 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

My wife is asleep and I want to check my jars. I know if I turn on a single light she'll wake up, most likely resulting in a pistol whipping (<-ok, so maybe not that bad. but she'll get pissed). Is it worth it? I love to see the growth

Now onto the actual question of this post. If I have a jar that is 100% colonized rye, how long can I wait, keeping it in the incubator, before I have to use it? I want to do G2G transfer with the jar but I won't have rye for about 5 or 6 more days :frown:  Thanks guys!

if you leave it iiin the incubator it will continue to grow.If it is fully colonized already, just wrap it in foil and place in the frige or in a dark ool place. This will slow the growth.they can be kept in "hybernation for monthes. Then whenever you want to do a G2G transfer just take out of fridge, unwrap and use then return.

Butternut squash are softer than acorn or other types of squash, which makes them easier to cut and prepare.

If you are only waiting 5 or 6 days nothing will happen leaving it in the incubator.

Awesome... because "the fridge is for food" said the wife and the man must obey (at least if he still wants laid) and my little personal fridge that is NOT FOR FOOD is scheduled to arrive in 9 days, haha. These rye bitches just colonize so fast. Well, only the one strain. The others are being little bitches, haha.

Yeah so does mine most of the time. Except times like when she come home from work and I have the entire kitchen taken over. WHAT The F... CLEAN MY HOUSE. Or when I spill bird seed all over the floor and don't do a good job sweeping.  LOL one time she pulled several sunflower plants from under the kitchen sink. The spilled seeds from the week before had sprouted.
