I agree w/ Entheonaut. In addition to taking up valuable space/resources, Oss & Oeric state, in their book, that aborts should be spotted early and removed(though used)because they become easy fodder for bacterial growth.And it goes to reason that once any organism is established, and it's food source consumed(though bacteria will spread regardless) it will move on to another food source. They also state that an "excessive" number "of abhorts are another indication of inadquate aeration."(page 61). Though if those numbers are a trait of the strain...
