Mycelium Incubation (Question)

Hey there-

Just registered and am looking forward to discussing cultivation with some of you!

I just started some jars about 4 days ago with the PC Australia strain from Ryche Hawk. I followed all instructions in the Shroom Wizard tek. The jars have been stored in a dark place with a temp that runs from 73-79 degrees.

It has been 4 days and I have seen no signs at all of growth. Are they being stored in a spot that is too cool?

Any help would be appreciated.

That is not too cool at all. While it would be ideal to raise the temperature a bit, it is not necessary. It can take up to two weeks before seeing any noticeable growth. But I bet you will see growth in the next couple of days. Just be patient. All you can do now is wait.

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own.

Depending on the strain and your substrate it may take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.  My neighbors dog had a jar once that showed no growth of anything, not contamination or mycelium, for two and a half weeks, about a month later my neighbors dog was layed out on his front lawn talking to clouds.  So don't fret my friend it will happen.


I can see a world where this is no poverty and no war, I can also see us attacking that world because they would never expect it. :wink:
