Cultivation insights through shrooming

I shroomed one night when my jars first started to grow mycelium, and I looked at them, and watched as the fungus expanded and contracted, growing and then going back. I wondered if any of the more experienced enthusiasts here had ever gained any insight into growing from tinkering around with thier kits while bemushroomed.
