How do I know when I can put my shrooms in an airtight container in the freezer? I have been air drying them with a fan only and no heat and they dont get "cracker" dry but are still pretty dried out so is it ok to put those in freezer? Or should I use some heat to get them cracker dry first? I just dont want to sacrifice any potency. Thanks for any help!

They really should be cracker dry first. Whether you use dessicant or heat.

i assume that heat is much faster but what method of heatingcauses the least destruction of potency?

Here is how I do it after the shrooms have been air dried. Preheat oven to 150F, turn oven off, place shrooms in oven, an hour later they will be dry.

I use damp-rid from wallmart in a little plastic box with a sheild screen and MAN they r dry in 3 days like nobodys b'ness.

try that!

ps........how long can dry mushes last in airtight container in freezer??
