Nay...for me at least: w/o colonizes faster, fewer contams, better air exchange..

Ya know, I don't have a problem with newbies at all...but maybe just maybe some of these people need to read a wide variety of posts and teks before spreading misinformation and contributing to someone elses failure...

I'm sorry, but Ramsey seal on paper and to info. seeking newbies sounds good....but in practice, it sucks...

better version of the ramsey seal:

put in substrate
put in dry verm
then foil,
hen the top of the lid,
then the ring,
then another piece of foil
you are basically flipping the foil and verm of the ramsey seal.
i have had two jars contam in the last two years like this, (no tincluding quarts) and thats beacuse of a dirty needle.
