Most shrooms with least flushes?
    #3075832 - 08/31/04 11:51 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Do you think straw logs are the best way to go if Im looking for good yields in the least ammount of time? If they were spent after two flushes instead of four or more flushes like with bulk neglect then I'd have a month of less time to get busted.

Yeah, but you have to spend another week or two to colonize that straw so the difference isn't immediately obvious.  But you sure can get some monsters...

...and if you haven't grown much before, I wouldn't count on getting four+ flushes anyway.  If you can pull off straw, do it.  When you start getting fruits that are an eighth dry, you gotta smile.  And then you get the occational quarter....big smile.

Are you saying a straw log takes 1 or 2 more weeks to colonize than a bulk neglect with straw and poo? Given the exact same ammount of spawn and substrate, by volume?

No, just longer than if you take colonized grain and just case it. So, yeah, it's just like you thought, really you're only limiting your flushes by supplying less nutrients. But to add less nutrients for the sole purpose of saving time so you don't get caught, that seems kind of silly to me.

But hey, whatever floats yer boat!
