Grammage estimate
    #3075474 - 08/31/04 10:09 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

This might be a hard question to answer, but please help if you can. I'm not very proficient at estimating grammage, so maybe someone else has an idea here. We filled a 32 oz. 7-11 cup to the brim with cubes, with only a few being fairly large (6 in. stem). Does anyone have a clue as to how many grams this would have been? Thanks

Really? Less than 1 oz? Number wise, I'd say we had about 30 shrooms, give or take 5. It really takes that many mushrooms (dry) to get an ounce?

The number of mushrooms really doesn't mean anything when asking for weight. You could have five mushrooms that weigh 150g and you could have another five mushrooms weighing only 15g

typically your dry weight would be plus or minus 10% of the fresh weight.
as for eyeballing grammage. Don't do it man find someone with a scale!
