how do we really know what jesus looks like? how do we kno he was white? let alone a guy, so is his appearence just a myth? or what?

He was the not blond haired blue-eyed pretty white figure that Churches prefer to use for display.

His image, like much of his original spiritual message.. got warped, skewed, misinterpreted, changed, stretched, re-hashed, and plain ole' fucked up over centuries.

Zahid is probably right.

I read in a book that Jesus was also a hunchback. There is much contradiction about this man, but he was the son of God.

Don't let morrons make you think Jesus was Anglo or European at all. The man was Gallalean and most likely did have a beard. He probably had curly hair and looked nothing like he is portrayed. He was probably very scuffy according to American and European standards. and he was definately a male because Yeshua (his real name which translates into Joseph) is masculine.

The chance he had blue eyes is minimal.

We all should know that you cannot judge a soul on looks or appearance.

Jesus was a sand-nigger jew. :wink: He was a brown boy.  Nothin' wrong with that.  I don't know why he's allways depicted with European features.  Probably due to racist ignorant christians.  I'm not saying all christians are ignorant racists, but my guess is the one's who are, are responsible for this historic lie.

Jesus is depicted in many churches as the predominant race of that area.

For example, missionaries used a black Jesus when trying to convert Africans to Christianity.

Jesus would have looked like a normal, everyday person living in the middle east during that time period. I tend to think that he had some distinguishing characteristics that set him apart from other people (don't celebrities have a certain "look"?), but these are probably characteristics such as how his eyes looked "into" a person, or how may have had a very serene countenance(if you think about it, why wouldn't he have been serene?) As far as his spiritual aspect, I believe he may have been the "first", but he was by no means the last "begotten of the father". He could have been the first man to realize that god is within us and actually is us ("I and my father are one"), but that is something which we will all realize at some point. Jesus said "follow me so that you may enter into the kingdom", but I don't interpret that as following the man Jesus. I think it means that we should look at how he lived his life, true only to himself, and strive to find our own "truth". Sorry if this wasn't what the original poster intended, but any discussion of "jesus" is bound to get original responses.
