could these be hallucenogenic ??

i found these mushrooms behind my house and i was wondering if these could possibly be some kind of hallucenogenic mushrooms?? i heard that mushrooms with purple gills usually are "magical"... also i live in northern muchigan.. all help is appreciated..

ps. does anyone know a good site to find detailed info on like all the different species of hallucenogenic mushrooms found in all the states?? i want to find out what species live in my area and go on a little nature hunt :smile: thanks for help! [image][/image]

you might try checking out www.shroomery.org, i hear the mushroom hunting forum there has a hunting FAQ list for that kind of info :tongue: :wink:

www.mushroomjohn.com is good for info on specific species too.

Alright well you need to look at the forum rules about asking for ID but for now these are the "Magical" mushrooms that grow in michigan. Go to fungifun.org or mykoweb and do some research you should find some info.(Sorry bout bad typing im being rushed)

Psilocybe liniformans var. americana

Mushrooms of Michigan by Kaufman, outdated nbit tells yuou all of the non hallucinogenic mushrooms in Michigan.

Kauffman, Calvin Henry. 1918. The Agaricaeae of Michigan. W. H. Crawford. Lansing, Michigan

I am sure there is an updated edition, also many morel books on micigan and maybe something By ALexander H. Smith who was from Michigan and wrote on shrooms fromhis state.
