Finding shrooms in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
    #3073235 - 08/31/04 11:52 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I was just wondering if you guys know if there are any hallucinogenic strains I may be able to find in Pennsylvania or Maryland. If so, what is the best time to go looking for them? I have grown a few different strains myself but I do not want to grow any right now. I was hoping that I would be able to find enough for me and a couple friends to have a good time. Where I live there are plenty of dairy farms, but I have heard that those mushrooms (panaleous forensicii I believe) may cause Altzheimers disease (don't mind my spelling lol). Any replies are greatly appreciated.

Don't waste your time. I was in pennsylvania for a while and versed up on the local mycology prospects, not too exciting to say the least, and as for actives, nil.

4. Do NOT ask what mushrooms can be found growing in your state or imediate area
This information is easily found in the Mushroom Hunting FAQ and/or has been posted at least once elsewhere on the net.

"I have heard that those mushrooms (panaleous forensicii I believe) may cause Altzheimers disease"

:wtf:
Sounds like bullshit to me, but they aren't active or worth eating anyway so there's no reason to eat them.
