We use an elec blanket wrapped around the tub. Get a thermometer and take some time to to see which setting gets you 80-85. # 6 on our thermostat is just right

get a quart jar, go to a pet store and get a 6 inch fish tank heater, fits perfect, fill jar with water a tiny bit of h202 helps, check it often until it's around 80 degrees are so, they will grow real fast and it won't take up much space and it will maintain the temps. in a 10 gallon tank for example, will hold 10 cakes are 2 casings nicely, the quart jar will only take up the sapce of 1 cake.
