I got mine at Target. Went back the next day with the roommates and they had replaced it already. I have seen them in three different Targets here. Ohio may be a different story.

box stores carry them cause they are fast growing. they buy whatever is cheap and appealing, pedro fits. the suppliers want speed (notice they are all grafted, or at least were at one point), and pedro really fits that. there are lots of look alikes so be sure to find out for sure its the right one. ethno garden is good for cacti id.

that website says: Mescaline is the most important alkaloid. The San Pedro contains a bit less mescaline than the Peyote cactus, making it more friendly.

I found 6 san pedro last year at Home depo. A few weeks back they had several at Super K-mart but I didn,t have cash that day.
San Pedro can be found at alot of big nurseries. I have found it almost everytime I visited a ENGLISH GARDENS garden center
Just remember alot of times it is not going to labled as a San Pedro but as a TRICHOCEREUS or TRICHOCEREUS PACHANOI
