All the things you begin to find out about happiness and of peace through experience or whatever you call discovering new things are Christianity. The more I learn without The Bible the more I see how it's all the things I'm trying to say. We all have the ability to realize what's good and bad(born with a soul), you're ego is developed here and is intended for this world and it conflicts or learns to shut out your soul/consciounce/whatever. Having the ability to know what makes happiness means nothing. Everybody would beleive in God if they didn't already have a definition of what it is.

Good and bad are instilled into us, as is our ego, as a defense mechanism by others. That's my view anyways, you're welcome to believe what you wish

what a claim!
what an expansion of definition.

nice heart.
but not too clear though on the meaning of christianity.

but it could be your personal map of christianity and you are finding many connections in life.
good.

but what's all this walking on water crap?

I agree that christianity does teach people some good morals and all that, but all this talk of firey infernos and miracles and GOD really bothers me.

"Having the ability to know what makes happiness means nothing."

You are missing the forest for all of the trees. Knowing what makes happiness is THE meaning.

knowing what makes happiness and making happiness are two entirely different processes though..

Not everyone understands the concept of good/bad... unless you are saying it's something that is prewritten in all human beings. Even though that is still an open possibility, i think when you grow it is determined that the mind accepts certain things and closes out others. Each person has his own style and uniqueness.

The ego is definetly developed here, but who has the ability to determine if it is created elsewhere...

no, we have the ability to choose what we believe is good and bad, our own definitions of these have nothing to do with having a soul. by defining what is good and what is bad christianity and other religions take away peoples individual beliefs over what is good and bad making them meaningless if they cant relate to. as i have said so many times before without bad there would be no good. christianity has the wrong idea.

i love this topic
