casing cakes

when u guys case cakes do you just cut the cake in half/slices or do you rip it into small pieces(how small?)? the n00bness of this question makes me shutter......

I just slice e'm in half longways.
But crumbling them works good too.
I just hate to crumble a cake that has a few pins starting.
But a slice down the middle can be done with shrooms growing on them

kramer's first grow ever he cased brf cut 1 1/2 in. to 2in. thick slices
