I too would like to know a good extaction tech for dried,powdered mushrooms.Getting sick of ingesting these Portabellos.Want to make a highly potent Portabella pill.

I don't think methanol would be necessary. You could try steeping the mushrooms in water, reducing the water to near nothing then evaporating the rest of the liquid. The left over dry gunk could then be ingested. I've never tried this but in theory it should work...

true....
i believe mushrooms are water soluble so there is no need for using chemicals.
