Looking beautiful. I had a little under-colonized area in the middle of mine also. That flush should be kick ass.

And a little extra. Check out the weather thx to Jeanne.

I totally agree.
On a side note, I hope these guys dont go to fast. I am not gonna be home friday night - sunday afternoon, and I don't have anyone I could trust about doing it for me. I am just afraid of having a shit ton of spores drop. So I am hoping for the best.

chudder: Awsome man. Post some pics.
Time for my daily update.

What do you guys think, you think I will be able to make it till Sunday? At this rate I think I'm going to see a lot of dropped spores on Sunday, but it looks like it is the only way.
Also I think one reason I didnt get as many pins is the fact that my casing layer was like covered in little drops of water. If you look in my first pic you can see them reflecting pretty well. Whatever though.

I doubt you'll make it. Even if a few do sporulate just take prints so you get something good out of it. Eating sporulated mushies is funny, you get black lips and tongue. :P

Very awesome. I have a few questions on this technique:
1) After you have all your straw/WBS in the container and "tuck it in" with plastic do you then place the lid on the container? I would think things would dry out if you didn't have the lid on.
2) After the casing has been applied, Shroomgod's technique says to put the plastic back on but do not pack it down. That seems a bit weird to me. Couldn't you simply put the lid on the container and be fine?
3) When you're ready to initiate pinning you don't have to have a hole-free piece of plastic over the container do you? Just the lid with some light diffusing material installed to allow light in like chrazychemist did ?
4) When do you begin spraying the sides of the container for humidity?
5) Lastly, is it ok to pressure cook one extra casing jar and store it for later patching? Wasn't sure if it is bad to store it or not, but it seems like it would stay sterile in the jar.
Thanks for help and I'm sorry for asking so much. But it's the details that end up getting ya
