such aggresive colonization is a good thing, but I would suggest casing it next time...when the mycellium forms a thick mat like that on top of the substrate, it has a hard time absorbing enough water, resulting in diminished fruiting...casing prevents this by acting as a "bank" of easily absorbable moisture...just dont let it overlay or youll be in the same boat...peace

I agree that very aggresive colonization is the thing that one is looking for, but could such aggresive colonization cause overlay?
Oh, I DO NOT boil my manure. I BAKE it because I feel too many nutrients are lost when boiled.
I am growing cubes on this particular occasion.
The Pans are on there way!
I hope they like this new shit. They sure loved the old stuff!!
