75-79 degrees humidity isaround 80-85%
layer is around2-3''.....the veil has already brokenm on some mushrooms,and they are only 1-3'' tall

Well if I were to give my honest opinion I would say that you have shitty conditions. What you need is AIR ENTERTAINMENT; and precise environmental controls, and oh yes a cool looking growing chamber.
Now what you really need to do is to raise that humidity broe; and are you misting the casing layer? What strain?

How do you know what the humidity is? Do I have to buy a humidifier? If so, does it have a meter?
I think i'm going to case mine when they're colonized fully.

i have a hygrometer....my humidity is to low? they way i understood it, u want 82-85% for caseing....im using perlite and andaquarium pumpfor humidity and air transfer, im also fanning

okay im misting now,and fanning more. Illbe sureby tommorow if i can keep it stable.....man its weird,, thereare alot of healthy looking mushrooms, lots! but they are just small...maybe its the strain

McMan, why would Russdog have such good success with his open air casings if below 85% rh is detrimental to them. The shrooms were large and healthy and the rh was probably muh lower than 85%.

Are your mushrooms on a vibrating surface? I know it can hurt them to shake too much, which made one of mine prematurely open, I believe.

I'm not saying you are flat out wrong, but how the hell would vibrations speed up maturity?

I don't know about maturity, but my little guy was sitting on top of a HEPA filter for a few days, when I looked at him and realized it was shaking it so hard (regular, mechanical vibrations) that it might be ripping up it's roots. So I guessed that it realized it was about to die and tried to spawn. I was just trying to offer theories...I thought that's what small mushrooms guy was asking for.

hatter's probably right  - my other mushrooms are also opening their veils when very small and they aren't on a vibrating surface. I'm sure I was just being paranoid about hurting my little babies...
but I did note that in a related post Ryche talked about how shrooms do much beter on dung...the PESA pics post, where there is a "cased substrate" photo of puny shrooms, and the "cased innoculated dung" photo of nice, giant shrooms. Check it out!
