I'm not trying to be a dickhead, but, where do you live? I can't leave my house without stumbling over this stuff.

Agar from the local asian grocery (much more cost effective than some other options), Malt from the brew joint (my local sells stuff packaged in poly for $10/3 lbs).

* Plastic sterile dishes are $10 for 20.

i know where to get most of it i was looking for prices to see what is tipical for instance i found petri dishes for 5$ for 20
and is agar called just that at the asian maket or does it have another name
