i've found loads for liberty caps in sheep, horse and cows fields, they all can be very good. I have picked 1000+ in each type many times. My best finds (3000+) have been in cow and horse though.

Well actually I have also found some Libs from a horse field last year... but there were so few of them (only 30-40 and I used meny hours to find them) that I tought cow and sheep fields must be better since people in here often tell that they have picked hundreds within only one hour.

They will grow in large numbers if the conditions are right, thats the most important thing. I have picked well in parks and places like golf courses that have never had any animals on it.

Sheep mow the lawn so there will be two to three inch liberty caps and/or P. strictoipes growing inthe sheep fields. They eat grass very fast.

mj

Cow fields and tall rank grasses are better although many liberty caps can be see witht he naked eye rather than digging atround int he grass looking for them like some fields have lots of tall rank grasses.

In lawns they are also shorter dpending on lawn service.

But Cow fields are best.

mj

In the PNW and northeastern USA. Europe, Peru and India.

Australia and New Zealand.

And the UK nd Scandinavia, Russia. etc.
