Todays Weilii pics
    #3064947 - 08/29/04 01:42 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

I dont have any more upload space avail right now, but Ill decsribe todays picks.

They were above the grass, the caps were off-tan/white. The stems had more blue than anything Ive ever seen. And they wreak of rotten cucumber.

Why I am posting is, does anyone else find sunburnt weilii laying out with white caps?!? The smell is so intensified too.

1. I don't think those are Weiliis.

2. Those aren't good pics. Try focusing next time.

ummm, yeah dude, since when does P. weilii have an annulus and scales on the cap?

what you have there is probably Chlorophyllum molybdites or some kind of Lepiota. You better be careful man, I've seen some pretty obvious misidentifications from you lately...

Get a spore print and we could probably tell you. Probably DH's first guess of chlorophyllum molybdites.

What does california have to do with anything?

I have no idea where you're coming up with blue, those aren't psilocybes or boletes, maybe you should get your eyes checked...

seriously dude, I would stay the fuck away from picking wild mushrooms to eat until you know what you're doing.

who's mad? A little frustrated maybe, but not mad. Being you said the stems were blue I don't know what to think of your description of the spore color. Brown spores mean they could be agaricus or something else, but the pictures resemble C. molybdites or Lepiota more to me.

There are old mushroom hunters and there are bold mushroom hunters. There are no old, bold mushroom hunters. Good words, think about them.
